Performance
Under the hood, the Toyota RAV4 offers several advantages over the Honda CR-V. The RAV4 comes standard with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 203 horsepower, giving it a bit more power over the CR-V's 190-hp turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine.
The RAV4 also offers a hybrid powertrain option, which combines a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with electric motors to deliver a total system output of 219 horsepower while achieving exceptional fuel efficiency. The CR-V also offers a hybrid option, but it's not as powerful as the RAV4 Hybrid.
Both the RAV4 and CR-V provide a smooth, composed ride, making them great for commuting around Oshkosh or road tripping across Green Bay. However, the RAV4's available all-wheel drive system gives it a leg up when it comes to traction and stability in slippery conditions you might encounter.
